Being a member of Women In Comedy gives you free access to resources, opportunities, live events, education, programming, and more. Connect with other female comedians of all genres (standups, improvisers, writers etc) and women in the comedy industry (producers, agents, directors, showrunners) to propel your comedy career forward. Women make up more than 50% of the population and #wewant50 in all writers rooms, standup headliners, TV pilots, comedy directors, producers, and more. Join our private Facebook Group and sign up to be one of the first when we launch our exclusive, online member portal.
OUR STORY
Women In Comedy is a non profit tax exempt 501(c)3 organization headquartered in the comedy mecca of the United States - Chicago, IL. Our organization runs solely on volunteer efforts and donations. We are an inclusive organization providing free and low cost events, resources, and education to women and girls seeking paid careers in comedy. We are establishing chapters of female comedians in all cities to create the first and only international professional network of comedic women and resources for women working in comedy (or aspiring to!).

We believe in educating, empowering, and connecting powerful, ambitious, hilarious, and talented women in the comedy industry through resources that foster their professional development and advancement. Through our online and real life community we promote the creation of personal relationships, business relationships, and mentoring relationships in order to advance and increase women's voices, presence, and pay scale in the comedy industry.
BLOG
Women In Comedy receives many requests to promote women's comedic content. We love interviewing and featuring our members on our blog. We have a variety of series we cover including "Number Crunch" - research and data into the raw numbers of inequity in comedy or "Independent Women" - discussing amazing and brave women doing their own work.

CHAPTER CITIES
Women In Comedy is an inclusive, grassroots organization run by volunteers of all backgrounds. We have many ways to get involved with us as a volunteer and a leader to create change. If you are interested in starting a chapter in your city please reach out to us! In the meantime, feel free to join our efforts in our existing Chapter Cities.
