Let's collectively declare this April National Gilda Radner month, shall we?

To celebrate properly, first and foremost, hurry up and see The Mercury Theater's production of Bunny Bunny: A (Sort of) Love Story before it closes April 15th. Written by Radner's friend and collaborator Alan Zweibel about their relationship (platonic, emotional, complicated) this "love story" is really a love letter to one of the world's greatest comedians, who died way too young from ovarian cancer at the age of 42. See it to not only pay homage to Radner but for a front-row viewing of actress Dana Tretta's knock-out performance.

Then, why not hustle on over to New York City to see Love, Gilda open the Tribeca Film Festival on April 18th? This documentary on Radner's life, supplemented with rare audiotapes and home movies, features interviews from friends and funny people (Melissa McCarthy, Amy Poehler and Cecily Strong amongst them).

Still can't get enough? Pick up Radner's autobiography, "It's Always Something" or pay it forward by volunteering at one of the five Chicago locations of Radner's namesake charity Gilda's Club, a supportive community for those with cancer.

And finally, laugh! Gilda certainly did.
