Here at Women In Comedy, we like to highlight all kinds of funny. Funny dogs, funny teenagers, funny teenagers who put their funny dogs in compromising positions for a cheap laugh, what have you. This YouTube video has all of it and more. Marvel at the excellent graphic work, the method acting, the passion behind the project! Without question we had to learn more about the creator behind this masterpiece, Canadian Michelle Lawrence. Was she inspired by photog William Wegman's Weimaraners or just a movie poster buff? We may never know what was going on in her mind so we tracked down what is arguably the next Yo Quiero, Taco Bell dog to ask him, "Hey, dog, what is going on here? Also, blink twice if you need help." Joey, an Australian Shepard/Border Collie/Labrador mix was kind enough to indulge our every question.

WOMEN IN COMEDY: STRAIGHT UP, JOEY. WHAT IS GOING ON HERE?

JOEY: I am clearly a very handsome boy so it only makes sense if I work in a job where people can adore me. Since my owner wants to work in the film industry, I often have to act or model for her which I'm not only up for, but totally good at. Occasionally, I get to be featured in one of her YouTube videos which is somewhat satisfying, but obviously I'm going to be a big movie star so this job is just temporary right now.

WOMEN IN COMEDY: TELL US ABOUT YOUR OWNER: DIABOLICAL MASTERMIND OR MERELY A PUPPET IN YOUR QUEST FOR WORLD DOMINATION?

JOEY: I'm my owner's very best friend (I guess she's mine too...). She is currently in high school which is great because when she leaves for school during the day, I get a few hours of complete freedom before she comes back. She wants to be a costume designer in the film industry so I get to model for her sometimes. She is planning to move to Toronto, Canada this September for fashion design school so I'll finally have sometime away from her...she's obsessed with me. That's the price you pay for fame, I guess.

WOMEN IN COMEDY: WHAT IS YOUR FAVORITE FILM GENRE?

JOEY: I would love to be in a horror film one day as the scary, antagonistic character. However, my innocent appearance and cuteness always gets in the way of things. I'm usually type cast and put in heart warming, loving dog videos which is totally the wrong image that I'm going for.

WOMEN IN COMEDY: DO YOU GET RECOGNIZED WHEN YOU GO OUT?

JOEY: Occasionally I do get recognized from my work in my owner's videos, but mostly people approach me because of my adorable cuteness. I am a serious actor and I hate being treated as a vulnerable, little puppy. I grew out of that role a long time ago and now I expect to be treated with respectful maturity. Britney Spears, I feel you!

WOMEN IN COMEDY: CAN WE EXPECT TO SEE MORE OF YOU?

JOEY: Oh definitely. I am planning to be in a lot more films soon, such as the upcoming Avatar. My agent is working on getting me cast as an exotic creature that the humans have to befriend in order to defeat their enemies. I am also a doggy model. Because of my dashingly good looks, you can find me in a lot of food and toy advertising posters in your local pet store. So watch out, little fast food chihuahua!

WOMEN IN COMEDY: THANKS SO MUCH FOR YOUR TIME, JOEY. PLEASE TELL YOUR GIRL MICHELLE TO KEEP MAKING COMEDY ANYWAY SHE CAN. ALSO, SHE PROBABLY OWES YOU A COUPLE OF DOGGIE TREATS. BEST OF LUCK!
